Are kicks off limits? You'll have better range and you'll be able to pull them off much quicker than him.

excellent suggestion as well. Especially few good low kicks to the legs should deplete his stamina real fast

I don't know. I'll definitely confirm if kicks are allowed or not. If so, I'll definitely use them to my advantage.

But thinking about it, I've never really through a powerful kick before. I'm going to have to practise those over the next three days. I don't wanna look silly throwing weak & uncoordinated kicks at the fight.

look at the video I posted, they won't be too hard to learn. Do the while moving around a great deal and the man will be tired real real fast..then you can just go crazy..elbows and knees are also very useful if the opponent is stronger than you physically. An elbow or a knee to the solar plexus or face could pretty much end the fight right then and there

Thanks, MUGEN. I'll practise those starting today. .

Very conveneint (sp?) that you had that video ready.

lol nah I looked up low kicks on youtube

I am a bit of a martial arts junky you see and as the prof mentioned earlier Aikido is a very good martial art for situations like these and I have practised Aikido for a few years and my brother is a senior in Jeet Kun Do. My Aikido background is what lead me to suggest you the focus on his fingers earlier. Fingers are extremely weak no matter who your opponent is..if you can grab them, bend them backwords and push towards the ground with your own body weight behind it, ANYONE can and will go to their knees to avoid breaking the fingers. Same theory applies for ears. Low kicks and quick punches while moving are also very good against big opponents. Aikido has many throws to use the weight of the opponent against him but those things need practice...even I'm out of touch due to lack of practice.

hahahha man Do I love martial arts or what..and I really wanna see my fellow vgc brother win this one ;)
