SimCity 5 Official coming to PC 2013

I cannot believe it's taken them nine years to finally announce a new SimCity. What in tarnation have they been doing all this time? I know Maxis wasn't the culprit behind the crime against nature that was SimCity Societies. Oh, I suppose there was that marginal Darkspore game.... hmm.
