Getting a hang for the Engineer, Adept and Sentinel classes.

Adept is pretty badass (especially the human one), with Singularity + Warp for Biotic Explosion. You can take a shitload of Armour from Banshees and Brutes if you manage to get a few Cannibals in between them for explosions. For weapons, I use my old trusty Carnifex pistol...that thing packs a mean punch and it's pretty easy getting Headshots with it

Quarian engineer is a tricky class to play at first, but with the right weaponry it can be pretty deadly. I tried using both the Disciple and the Geth Plasma Shotgun with her, but it just felt off. I fell back to my trusty Carnifex and it's been one heck of a ride with Sentry Turret (W/ Flamethrower) and Incinerate.

As for the Sentinel, only tried the human one, with Tech Armour, Warp and Throw. If you have a M-37 Falcon Assault Rifle, this class is damn fun to play as. Toss a couple of Falcon rounds, Throw enemies around, rinse and repeat for a shitload of kills. It's pretty fun when paired with an Adept class for crowd control (seriously, Biotic Explosions and the Falcon clears mobs like no tommorrow).

Still....I love my infiltrator class too much to give it up

By the way, my N7 is already at 142, but I haven't promoted anyone since my first (and only) Infiltrator promotion, i'm only trying to level up each class to 20 to see which i'll promote. Also, I have a question for the MP users: What kind of packs do you buy? Do you usually save for Spectre only or do you buy more Veteran packs?

Me and friends have been extracting on gold recently, so got about 74k credits per extraction which is just beast for spectre packets, only been buying those to try to get a Widow sniper rifle, but no luck so far, and had about 10 or so. I think Veteran are probably the best value unless you specifically want rare weapons.

Well, I guess I'm a bit lucky on the Spectre packs, since I've already got my Widow up to IV. I've yet to do an extraction on Gold...playing with randoms doesn't help at all in coordenation and we usually end up overwhelmed :-/

Recently been discovering how amazingly fun is to play the Turian Soldier with an Avenger X.... With Marksman you can just spray and kill everything in your path...even Banshees and Brutes armour go down like they were nothing.

Soo lucky, I got Geth pulse rifle to +2, Disciple to 2 and other random guns that I don't really use - mainly assault rifles because they're too heavy.

What I find interesting though is that with Avenger X and Mantis X you can have +90 recharge speed on infiltrator, pretty useful! Mantis sustains me for now, I get about 90-100k points per extraction with the lamest weapon in the game lol, albeit at 10.

Try the Firebase Dagger + Geth combination with Quarian infilitrator.

What I do is cloak, take a shot, then use a sabotage straight after, effectively firing off two powers at the expense of one. And they end up fighting between themselves as geth get converted by sabotage. Rocket troopers and Pyros have to be the most useful, on the contrary, prime is useless most of the time, but still nice to keep him from attacking the teammates.

Unfortunately, I've had no luck unlocking both the Quarian or the Salarian Infiltrator, it seems like they're avoiding me >_>. I'm still stuck with the Human ones, even though they're good, they've got nothing on those two. My Human Inf, with the Widow IV has a recharge speed of +10%

Avenger X with the Turian Soldier is amazing, especially if you reload during marksman, since it's almost instantly. I'm using a Spare Shot magazine +80%, so I have 58 shots per magazine and I can literally cut through half a Brute's armour in Silver in a single magazine. They may be the weakest weapons in the game, but they kick ass if used properly xD. If I had a cover penetration mod for the Mantis X I would use it instead of the Widow, as it is, I prefer the Widow.

@Ishiki - The rooms fill almost instantly whenever I create a new game, so when I invite you, it's already full. I'll try creating a Gold room next time to see if it fills slowly and then downgrade the difficulty when you're in it.

@yo_john112 - In ME3 there are less difficult scenarios than in ME2 for the insanity difficulty. Having said that, the Grissom academy last stretch, if you don't manage to get in the Atlas, can be hell, since there's almost no cover at all. The same can be said for the final mission in London, but that's because Cannibals tend to rush at you more, the higher your difficulty is.

Overall, I'm finding it a bit easier than ME2, because of the higher amount of cover and somehow the powers seem stronger as well (also, if you have a pretty fast recharge speed), you can be firing them constantly as well, something that didn't happen on ME2 as well.

Cover penetration is actually good? I was never a fan tbh. Yeah I know what you mean about marksman, but the lack of roll on turians and krogans just pisses the hell out of me. That's why I hate playing as either of those races.

I think combat is much better than 2 as the cover system seems to work much better and the ability to roll makes the combat more fluid and fast paced.

The natural cover penetration of the Widow itself is amazing. You can HS through three enemies if they're lined up properly or you can shoot Guardians through their shields without much care. As for small covers, you can hit enemies behind them, albeit for a bit less damage (though for the Widow the damage is still high, at 90%). With the mods, you can go as high as hitting targets with covers as thick as 1.5 meters for 60% damage, which is still quite a lot.

The turian does indeed roll like a tank, but I'm usually more of a cover mover than just rolling around, especially since with the Assault Rifles and the Marksman ability, you can get a stability of up to 200% with that method. For example, with the Avenger X, using that method, I can pinpoint the head of any enemy, spray away, and almost all the shots go straight there, as the Avenger barely moves with recoil.

Ah I might start using the penetration mod then, turian does seem like a tank, but with not as much shield as krogan, and I seem to get downed ALOT whenever we play. I usually stick to quarian infilitrator, human vanguard etc. Have you seen the shields on Drells? Dafuq happened there.

You mean the Barriers? Those things are low as fuck in the Drell. I tried to use a Drell Vanguard but just gave it up. Not only is the Asari one way better, at least her barriers can keep up >_>.

I rarely get downed with the Turian Soldier, but that's mostly because I use cover a lot (especially cover with corners, as you can switch around corners effortlessly with the middle mouse button), though I agree that it could have had better shields (the Krogan Shields are just insane, especially if you use Fortification properly. That's a damage soaking beast right there).

@Notstan - You could start a NG+ with a previous character and use it for Insanity difficulty, but I did it with a new character. I still regret that decision to this day

By the way, if anyone wants to try a much lighter alternative to Sniper rifles in classes other than Infiltrator, I strongly recommend trying the Carnifex with the Scope mod. The Carnifex has the same range as a Sniper and does an insane amount of damage for a pistol (it can rival the damage of the Mantis). And at close range you can fire it effortlessly without aiming and still get a decent amount of headshots as well.
