I'm gonna go with badgenome on this. It just can't be true especially that part "My ancestors once owned slaves, and it is in my lineage to work closely with the black community. However, just because they were freed over a century ago doesn’t mean they can now be freeloaders."
Associating owning slaves and working with the black community is just ludicrous. Also, no politician in his right mind would make a statement like the last sentence which basically calls Black people lazy bums.
