For the bolded: I Admit I didn't finish reading his post.  I saw the "I think gays marrying is wrong" and was like "That's it, I'm done."

I have a really hard time arguing with gun nuts, simply becuase in all the cases where I argued with them, I have not seen one bit of compelling evidence that having less gun control made the world a better place.  Guns may not kill people, but they make it easy for anyone (even a dog) to kill someone.  More gun control is better.  I'm not saying NO guns, just...for chrissakes, this is a gun, a device who's primary function is to kill...there should be VERY strict rules.  I don't see how in any way you should be able to just walk up to someone and say "I want a gun."  That's dumb.

Abortion is a tricky one, becuase it's hard to really nail down when a fetus stops being a parasite and starts being its own person. I just hate the belief that, if a person makes a mistake or gets into something they can't handle, they should be expected to suffer becuase some moron decided that parasitic mass of cells (that she created of her own body, that is living off her support) has more rights than she does.  if I was a woman, I'd be far more livid about abortion than I am. "my body, my choice...fuck you.  I'll terminate this pregnancy if you like it or not."

I do, however, agree that it's a tricky subject due to the fact that, yes it is life in there.

That's fair. Guns do make it easier to kill, and you certainly don't want to be handing them out like free candy. To the best of my knowledge, buying a gun in the US involves a background check (and you can't get one if you are a convicted felon), and a waiting period before you actually get the gun. And at least in the state I live in, you have to go to a class before getting a concealed carry permit, teaching you about proper gun safety, how to use one, and things like that.

It is. I don't know that there is a clear right or wrong, because it really depends on how you see the issue. I have seen very compelling arguments for both sides.
