This adds support to my bet and the idea that neXtBox *could* be ready for a NA launch this holiday to catch Wii U. If this game was in development for at least 7mos, that means some MS partners had some form of dev kits since shortly after E3 of last year.... only a few months after Nintendo confirmed their device was coming (Feb 2011 I think is when Nintendo first stated they'd show a new console at E3). So, MS took action and immediately put their product into full force by getting early dev kits out (we know the kit was finalized last December) and get close partners started on software. E3 is gonna be awesome. |
7 months doesn't really hint at a 2012 release imo.
Interesting that you mention the way Nintendo revealed their console. They showed their console at E3 and will release it one year after that showing. The same will likely happen with Microsoft: They'll show the console at E3 2012 and release it a year later (2013). I say there's a 1/99 chance of the Nextbox releasing this year. And the only reason I give it 1 is because the world might end this year. If the world does end this year, then I can see Microsoft trying to sell a few consoles before their doom.
