How much is UE ?

We don't know, but I would imagine a hell of a lot cheaper than cryengine 3 since many devs that don't have super rich publishers can afford it. I'd say 100k tops, but I really don't know.

At the start of the generation UE2 still cost (And maybe still does, I'll have to do some research) 250K, and another 50K per additional platform, so I have to say 100K is probably way way too low of an estimate. ; -)

whoa really? These are way more expensive than I thought

Yeah from what I can gather from old research UE2 started at 750K and is ~now 250K-300K (Although I don't think Epic plans on licensing it out much anymore, they've removed it mostly from their technology site).

And UE3 has done quite a bit of advancement since it first released, so I do reckon it too be "cheaper" than CE3, but still above the ~500K mark.

OT:

"Rumor" from last year stated CE3 cost 1.8M to license, so either:

A: That was bunk

B: This is bunk

C: They dropped 600K

D: Perhaps they have different licensing options
