It is not scary. You can avoid all of the potential problems with the community by simply ignoring it and watching the show anyway. You don't have to be a brony to like the show. But... there is some cool stuff that people have made. I'm tellin' ya, if you like fighting games, My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic looks like a ton of fun.
