Are Sony fans too addicted to the Trophy system?

Refer to the post above this one. Jay520 c'mon, 80% of a trophie list is just asking you to play the game.

you get trophies for learning mandatory moves or doing mandatory things.

Not every single game has lists like that. I don't believe Uncharted has any trophies for just playing through the game (other than beating the game on different difficulties), and Disgaea 3 doesn't have trophies that require anything with the main story (Disgaea 4 only has like 3-4 trophies associated with the main story).
