There are a set of rules that you need to play by to be part of the WTO. The WTO has many benefits to a country, and China can't just go about breaking the rules, and continuing to enjoy the benefits. Europe and Japan agree with the USA - they are going to the WTO to claim a rule breaking.
Nobody should be siding with the Chinese Government on this, as it effectively makes us all poorer, including the Chinese people.
