Having finished the game myself, I have to say that the entire ending sequence just felt "off".

Not because it created more questions than it answered, but because a lot of things didn't add up. I have a strong belief that we haven't seen the end of Shepard, especially after seeing that he's still alive at the end of the Destroy ending. But he was alive in the midst of a pile of impact rubble, and that leaves a very, very large room for interpretation. My interpretation? He's still alive after Harbinger's laser hit him and that whole sequence happened in his head.

Got to process this a bit more, but the ending didn't made me angry, sad or pissed off. On the other hand, it left me curious, extremely curious as to what's going to be Bioware's handling of the game in the future months.

Hopefully, Bioware pick up that interpratation and develop it to give us a better/proper ending. Leaving things open to interpretation doesn't bother me, but just about everything else regarding the ending did.

Rather they got rid on the child apparation/spirit of the citadel and instead replaced it with an exchange with Harbinger. Why Harbinger only made one cameo appearnace in the whole game does not make sense, especially seeing as he seems to be the head-reaper. Also the fate of the Normandy really needs altering. Could not understand why Liara emerged unscathed from the Normandy's wreakage, seeing as she was with me when Shepard got blasted by Harbinger. Can think of several better fates for the Normandy and its crew depending on your ME2 ship upgrades and galactic readiness. Other thign that i felt really needed changing/explaining was why the Normandy was in the middle of a Mass Relay jump when the Crucible went off, regardless of how the battle was going. Was Joker deserting or was it in retreat, and if so why???!!!

Also have seen some people saying they would be happy to pay for DLC that improves the ending. Doesn't that set an even worse predicent for EA to exploit: Releasing games with shoddy endings and then charging people for a better one that (first time I going to say this) should have been there in the first place! If the majority of players were enraged by From Ashes then how would they accept this? I might not be the best person to say this as I did actually buy From Ashes but at the very least any ending DLC should be free for Online Pass owners.
