The levels of madness that him saying that he is nearly ready with more information but can't talk about the information yet is news..... it boggles my mind.

It's an announcement that he is almost ready to make an announcement about the game.

So unrelated circumstances stopping him. The possibilities:
1. Sony want to have them save information for E3.
2. The game is going multiplatform and will also be coming to 360/Wii U
3. It's going to next gen.

Personally I think it's number 2. FF13-2 which a lot of people think has been disappointing on the 360 sales wise has still managed to generate millions upon millions of dollars. I imagine a release of Versus on 360 and Wii U would generate way more sales. Sony would have to offer a lot to keep it exclusive unless the contract was already in place.

Also I'm going to make a prediction, that after the lacklustre sales of 13-2 compared to 13, that Final Fantasy Versus XIII is going to drop the XIII from it's name and either become XV or a different FF: bla bla title.

Id love the Idea of versusXIII coming to as many Consoles as possible, but i do not really think this will happen. While FFXIII was a great success on the 360, XIII-2 just failed. (While it had okay-ish sales on PS3)

It is currently at 390K of sales. Likely with quite a way to go. Maybe reaching 500k or so. Now even using conservative estimates (but hey if somene knows actual figures of what a publisher/developer makes please tell me. I can't find anything!) I would say it's reasonable to assume Square made upwards of $10million from the game. Now obviously it is far more complicated than that, exchange rates, what cut they actually get from sales etc. However the point is even with just a few hundred thousand it will generate millions. While the cost to create a port of an existing game? Pretty low. Take into account that a big part of 13-2s sales on the 360 was due to the bad reception of 13 and a new game heavier on action would like skew closer to 13 than 13-2.

I really do think we are looking at a situation where it will go multiplat. I mean Square have done it with 13 and 13-2, games set in the same mythology. Would be strange to leave one out.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.
