I've tried watching MLP myself (my friends are split between rather liking and despising it) and, like you, I can kind of see what people like about it, but I don't like it myself. It's a little too cutesy and happy go-lucky for me.

I've never actually watched SpongeBob before, so I thought I'd try with this video. I'm pleasantly surprised!
