Nailed it. I don't understand why they would even make that statement. If it was nothing is bigger than halo on the 360, then yeah totally.

Obviously MS meant towards Sony/PS3 since it is the 360s only direct competitor.

That still wouldn't make sense. Even if Nintendo wasn't Microsoft's direct competitor, it wouldn't be okay to just ignore their existence when mentioning platform exclusives.

Besides, I don't agree with the idea of Nintendo & the Xbox not being direct competitors. During NPD, you hear Microsoft say how they've been #1 for XX weeks, with XX weeks ago being when they surpassed Nintendo. If Nintendo wasn't their true competitor, then they would have been claiming #1 a long time ago when it was Wii > Xbox > Playstation in America. (much like how they're claiming #1 here).

If they wanted to exclude Nintendo, they could have easily said amongst HD consoles. But they didn't, which leads me to believe that they were only talking about Xbox software.
