Yes that is 2GB VRAM and up to almost 4GB of system RAM

You can see why they want 4GB+ total RAM next gen

.... on an un-optimized game build. Remember that this is a game that is also offered with a heavily optimized variant with some stuff turned off and running very well on two consoles with only 512MB total RAM for everything.
