Yeah, this is horrible. She should win this case.
As for the employer aspect, I know if I were to apply at a job that requested my PWs I'd flatly say no. Just as I am not going to allow them to setup a camera in my home, they cannot preview my personal internet based life.
It should flat out be considered illegal and beyond any normal consideration.
