I don't believe Nintendo has ever lost me.  I was never a true gamer until this generation.  My sisters and I did have a NES and SNES as kids, but my parents couldn't afford another gaming console for us after that.  I finally got back into the game with the Xbox.  It was cheap at the time and I wanted a tennis game to play.  After I mastered that game I pretty much just used the Xbox as a dvd player.

With the learning of how to play a FPS for the first time, Halo 3, came my renewed love for video games.  I wound up buying a 360 because of Halo 3 in mid 2008.  That same year I found out that there was a new Mario Kart that was released for the Wii and so I had to have a Nintendo Wii.  My significant other at the time was sweet enough to buy the Wii for me for Christmas.  I was completely surprised and taken back from it.  Now with the Wii U (NES 6 - rumored name change) being released this year, I am even more excited for gaming.

What improvements I would like to see from Nintendo next generation are better third party support, meaning quality and not quantity, a better online service (Nintendo Network could be the answer), and a type of achievement program, I really enjoy working for them.  If Nintendo implements these improvements, with another great Mario Kart game, then they will definitely keep me for years to come.  If they don't make these improvement then I will most likely be just disappointed and it won't be grounds for me to leave Nintendo.
