Like the police officers who also had no signs of bite marks, I think he got a small dose of zombie infection and it slowly ate away at his psyche, eventually exaggerating his killing tendencies. Like when he was in the barn... That freak out was a sign, I think. I also think the place he got infected was on the bus when he cut himself to lure and kill a couple zombies in the bus door. |
