I think it's safe to say the PS3 is the definitive graphics king for this gen

An here are the cockpit photos I found. I avoided any night time pictures as I didn't think ti was a fair comparison. Couldn't find anywhere near as many as I would've liked, though. I'll have to search for more after this. 

 

Oh I will agree GT5 looks amazing too. I put Forza 3, 4 and GT5 well above Uncharted IMHO. However GT5 being in my list of top 3 doesn't make PS3 the definite graphics king, and Forza 4 is better. There are threads with back to back comparissions...heck there was one mega thread which asked people to vote, and Forza 4 won, on a website with a large number of PS3 fans..

No no no!  GT5 is obviously better since it's 1080p, not 720p like Forza 4 is. :P

Both are 720p. GT5 is only 1080p when viewing cars in the garage and when you take a photo. GT5 does has 1080p vertical resolution, but has frequent frame rate drops to 30FPS (lower in 3D), even in optimal 12 person driving, no weather. Forza 4 holds a constant 60 FPS.

GT5 looks more like Forza 3, with the difference being car models look better in GT5 (for the limited cars that have them).

no thats false, GT5's native resolution is 1080p (1280x1080) just check DF are any other site.

GT5 = 1080p always (you can choose 720p with more AA). and frame rate analysis shows GT5 is usualy around 50fps, and thats when the game first launched many things have been improved sense.

Forza = 720p always. with frame rate usually around 59-60fps. and they had to make great sacrifices to get 16 cars at the same time like gt5 has. and it still doesnt have weather effects or day night transistions
