If they managed to get to earth, they are hundreds if not thousands of years ahead in technological and scientific knowledge, that kind of information would be priceless.
I would definitely help them if they shared that information with us and taught us everything they've learnt. If they refuse to give us much information, I would still help them, and just hope they decide to give it to us later.
And I think we would definitely let each other experiment with each other, as long as it's mutually beneficial and the people/aliens being experimented on are volunteers or dead.
