I think they need to focus on making quality games like they always have, instead of trying to make guesses at what the Western fanbase wants. Personally, I'm from the US but tbh i hate western rpgs. I think they are boring and generic with characters and plot lines that are dull. I definitely prefer jrpgs. If i had to make one suggestion to jrpg development teams it would to stop making things so cliche. I love jrpgs for their interesting plot lines and characters that i actually care about, but sometimes the dialogue gets a little cheesey.
