I've played RTS games before. It is not a requirement to be pressing 100+ actions per minute. Maybe you are talking about some subset of hardcore RTS gamers who play competitively or something.

An RTS that is built up  (Pikmin 3 for example) or properly ported to take advantage of the controller's features would play awesomely.

Sure PC will still have it's advantages with all those keys and stuff but I think the controller has  some unique possibilities  in its' own right such as, say, a game where you play with an RTS view on the controller and build up an empire, gather resources, etc while on the TV screen you can battle/explore in full third person view.

RTS games will still be far far better on PC, if you hve to dumb down the game for the Wii U then it's not as good for those types of games now is it? Competitive RTS is a pretty big thing BTW in fact competitive high speed RTS like Starcraft is far bigger than the dumbed down RTS games like DoW II.

I didn't say dumbed down, did I now? I said made to take advantage of the controller. The touch screen + stylus/fingers + controller features + two different screens to play with gives alot of head room for RTS games.

Like I said, PC will still have its' advantages thanks to all those keyboard keys and mouse, but that set-up has its' own unique advantages as well.

And stop telling me about high speed RTS. We both now most RTS gamers on PC don't play by pressing 100 - 300 keys per minute (can you even do it?). That's mostly  hardcore professional Koreans who play competitively for money and a few guys from other countries. Hardly representative of the rest of the market. Last time I checked people don't need to play like the pros to have fun playing an RTS game.
