The solution is simple: restore the conditions under which Japanese games succeeded, restore the spirit of the franchises to how they were before.
Some of the bastardizations (or what people have referred to as bastardizations), have sold quite well, however. RE5 and Final Fantasy XIII did very well for themselves, but other franchises, if they want more influence, need a back-to-basics approach.
Though such an approach could handily do good in the West as well...
