Societies was developed by Tilted Mill Entertainment, not Maxis, I hope this reassures you.

The thing that worries me is that 'accessible' thing they are talking about. I just hope it doesn't mean dumbing down the complex mechanism in SimCity like Societies does. Hopefully, Maxis has a better idea of doing that. Besides, Maxis doesn't have Will Wright anymore....

As for whether they're going to release the console one, I am not so sure they will do that. Because, most of simulation games like this end up failed in console. But who knows.... I think there is a better chance they will come to the handheld like 3DS/DS or Vita/PSP instead.
