Yeah its quite funny they made laws to protect the local languages and now English is likley the 2nd biggest language in the Country and the numbers of speakers is growing rapdily.
Almost every single educated Indian knows basic English.
It depends, if me and my parents were in India we would be upper middle class family, I likley could have just chilled out and done nothing after University and just inherit the land. Very lazy and such, so glad my parents moved to Canada and we have a good life here.
Lol I base this off my cousins who live there now.
They go to Uni, goof off, get drunk and chase girls all day and the reason why is the lands there forefathers bought for nothing are now super expensive.
One big thing is if your middle class and have money your wealth is somewhat real and not inflated based off borrowing so much debt as it here in the West. Most people still buy things in full.
Its really hard for someone from the West to go and judge life there. Everytime I go there, I am like "everything is so cheap".
Of course to me blowing off a thousand rupees is nothing as it is only 20 dollars but in India it is a lot of money to the average person.
Easily someone from the West can come to India and live a comfortable life however the society around you is totally screwed up.
