Uhmm, awesome football, beer, and music. Crappy political positions.
It's indeed a really nice place to visit, loved London, and the architecture in Edinburgh is just magnificent.
Now, about the monarchy, I actually find it quite interesting all the respect the queen gets. Not sure if I'd embrace it, but I'd love the greeting once I become 100 (probably she won't be around tho :( )
Edit: About the accent, sometimes it can be hard for non native speakers like me. However, cockney is just too much fun in Ritchie's films. And I prefer the one I consider the average English accent over the accents in the States.
