Long time since I drank a crumpet.

I don't think you drink them...

Which is why it's a long time since I have drank one

As to your second post, a stereotype doesn't mean the person using it thinks all people involved conform to it, so someone with a high IQ can still attach a stereotype to Brits in general... Hell I'm British and I think a lot of us have bad teeth compared to other countries, my teeth are clean and white but one thing I would certainly consider is having them straightened, and I am generally against cosmetic surgery apart from corrective application (ie if someone is scarred in an accident). Also I happen to agree that most British accents are not very nice, and there is probably quite a lot of tea drinking (though I personally don't drink it) Crumpets are probably more popular than elsewhere in the world but I don't think there is much basis for a sterotype on that front, I mean I like crumpets but it's probably been a year since I last had one, and I don't know anyone who eats them particularly often.
