I'm not going to tell you what to do. It is your money, but I would suggest you buy a Vita.

You already own an Xbox 360. It's not like a Slim is going to make new games appear out of thin air. Do you really want to toss down the money for a system that is redesigned only?

The Vita on the other hand is a new system, so the choice of games are limited currently. However what it does have so far is pretty darn good. Uncharted Golden Abyss is fantastic. Sony is also planning an onslaught of new announcements for the system as well. I remember people badgering the shit out of the PS3 in 06-07 over teh no gamezzzzz. Look what happened in terms of exclusives these last few years. Add on to that now that Kaz is going to be CEO, and considers the PS divison to be a pillar of Sony. Gaming support will not cease anytime soon.

So it all comes down to two options.

1.) Buy a Vita. It will have a life time of roughly 5-8 years with probably a fairly healthy library.
2.) Buy a Slim Xbox 360. You already own one, and the console is nearing the end of its life cycle.

Make your choice.
