A supposedly clever way to avoid a cutscene and increase the immersion, but ultimately it's more annoying than an actual cutscene. 5) Convoluted control schemes. 6) Story being put in front of gameplay (exception: visual novels). 7) Style over substance. 8) Games telling you the obvious. 9) Long tutorials. 10) Checkpoints and infinite lives being used to not have to bother with proper level design and balance. |
