A 1080p display that size is nothing but a waste of processor cycles. You're burning power and losing framerate to draw pixels you need a microscope to see. So this is either fake or Samsung is getting stupid (or chasing after customers who are gullible).

As for the mighty debate of quads vs. duals, I submit to you the Tegra 3, barely edging out an A5 in CPU performance and still lagging in GPU performance:

Bragging about your number of cores is just like bragging about your jiggahurts. It's the real world performance of the whole architecture that counts. Will it render a web page faster? Run games with a better framerate? Save your battery life?

There needs to be a clever word for this speed and feed pornography.

Transformer prime was using Honeycomb in that comparison though. It is no secret that Honeycomb is not properly optimized for multi cores. After ICS it should perform much better (maybe not early on but after some time with it, ICS is in its very early stages after all).

GPU is also no surprise, given that it uses an old GPU, only a bit optimized.

1080p is stupid though, very unlikely to be true.
