My argument is to say why can't the Vita beat the 3DS?

Everyone replies, "it can't vita won't beat Nintendo they make the best handhelds and everyone buys them!" Everyone bought the NES And SNES until Sony showed up then everyone bought PS1 and PS2's now it's back to the Wii, it's to random to say Nintendo will win for the sake of Nintendos track record for handhelds, the PSP  did great against the DS compared to any other handheld, we know it's doable 70 milion PSP's sold is impressive.


The better question is 'why should the Vita beat the 3DS'? What has it got going for it that will make people choose to buy it over Nintendos device?

While it has some advantages over the 3DS (more powerful hardware and a better OS) it is well behind in several important areas - price, system selling games (both current and announced) and the level of brand recognition.

I'm not saying it's impossible for it to outsell the 3DS, the gaming market can change pretty rapidly at times afterall. However on current evidence it certainly seems much more likely for the 3DS to come out on top in the end.
