He most likely did.  I find in general the Vita's Wifi is a bit finicky.  Like I've noticed the Wifi doesn't come back properly after Uncharted shuts it off.  I generally have to restart my Vita (I believe this is also the cause to most freezes).

Sony imho needs to add "always on" mode where you can set wi-fi to always stay connected.
