2011 - Portal 2 (Runner up Skyrim, I'm a huge Bethesda fanboy but Skyrim just wasn't quite good enough to top Portal 2 for me, I'm more into the Fallout series than the Elder Scrolls)
2010 - Red Dead Redemption (Runners up are Heavy Rain and Black Ops)
2009 - Uncharted 2 (Wins by a landslide, no need for runners up)
2008 - Fallout 3 (runner up GTA IV)
2007 - Call of Duty 4 (runner up Uncharted Drake's Fortune)
2006 - Oblivion (runner up is the much underrated Resistance Fall of Man)
