Its pretty easy actually. Get enough money to purchase 17K casino coin (get 20K if you can afford it), then go at the slot machine when its in optimal condition (its like a sunny day). Then stick your L1 button (autoplay) with something like an elastic, and leave your console running like this overnight. The next morning you will be out of casino coin but will have earn the fragment.

I read that you have to profit 10,000 coins, coin losses subtract from the total earned.
I do have 20,000 coins, I usually leave it auto-play for a few hours, when I come back I found only 11,000 or less left so I exit the game and start again :/

I thought you needed the slot machine fragment. Like wagram said, just do the chocobo courses, it will only take an 1-2 hours or so with a maxed out silver chocobo. You will never be able to earn anything iwth the slot machine.
