I'm expecting FFXIII scenario - 7/10 game which will be trashed by critics due to hype and expectations...

Impossible: They have told us nothing about it. There is not enough for us to have expectation... unlike FF13and its famous overstatement " FF13 will be better than FF7" They could announce Last Gaurdian again and most people wouldn't realize it.

Entirely possible. The Last Guardian has been appearing on 'Most anticipated' lists for years now. The game has already somewhat suffered from overhyping. Gametrailers had it listed as the number one most anticipated game of 2011. Then in 2012 it didn't even make the list. Announcing games too early builds up expectations. Not to mention simply being from Team Ico means that expectations are sky high already.

Either way having to suddenly call in extra staff from different studios (not one but multiple!) to try and simply get a title out the door is never ever a good sign. Like I said in another thread the games budget is getting way too high, Sony just want to get it out the door.  Especially considering it's not really got the mass appeal to be a mega hit. Best they can hope for is it gets good reviews and the core gamers drive sales with word of mouth. However the game isn't going to end up as some 3million+ mega hit.

From everything we have heard (which may at this point be entirely scrapped) it sounds like quite a niche title. A game where the main character can't attack for the most part. Where a companion A.I. is VITAL to success....... even though traditionally  when companion A.I. are simply helping, let alone vital, they can be incredibly frustrating. Where the A.I. is apparently on purpose difficult to control at first...... yea. Ico could get frustrating as it was, now imagine that instead of you protecting her you are relying on her to protect you.

My guess is the other studios are actually being brought in simply because Team Ico had these ideas they thought would be cool like ''Hey imagine if the companion is a wild animal, and it's really difficult to control and over time you train it'' then you actually put that in a game and realise that it is very difficult to make an enjoyable game out of.  One the write ups of a demo of the game actually mentions how the person tried to call Trico and it simply ignored him. Having to try over and over again and then a few more times to get it follow the command, doesn't exactly sound like good game design.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.
