You know what this thread needs more of? Impressions.

Got my PS Vita yesterday.

Pros
- Beautiful, large screen.
- Solid feel.
- Smoother buttons compared to my 1st gen PSP.
- Dual analog sticks will rock alot of games.
- Remote Play of my PS1 games look pretty darn good.

Cons
- Battery life
- We are never gonna get a UMD to Digital program, so if they are on PSN and Compatible, we will have to buy it all over again.
- Would have been nice to have the analog sticks and D-Pad/Buttons a little further apart.
- Wi-Fi can be a problem when you try for the very first time. If you have problems change the DNS from auto to googles DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Future:
Games. Games. Games. What will make or break this system ultimately will be the games. We need a good steady stream of awesome games. I should be able to find at least 2 new good games to buy each month, if not more. Time will tell if this happens and the system can meet or beat its predecessor.

In regards to games, while I only speak for myself, I think I would prefer to download a couple DD titles like Escape Plan every month than pick up full retail titles at $40. There just aren't a lot of portable games that I'd be buying at that price given my portable playing habits, which are admittedly probably better suited to iOS games. Rare is the portable game that I will play for over half an hour at a time, and for that little play is rarely worth the price of a retail title. But, traditional controls as an option in addition to the existence of big titles like Uncharted that are worth the full price make the PSV the best in terms of choices when it comes to portable gaming.

I gave up on any hope of a UMD license extension program after the PSP Go never gelled. Some will remember the same type of exchange program was thrown around, never to be realized, so I'm neither surprised nor annoyed it's not happening. I would have jumped at the opportunity to ditch my UMDs.
