As for my impressions: A VERY solid and capable system. The screen looks much better and sharper in my house than it did on the store display. Crazy thing--the same could be said for the 3DS. Something about those store display consoles that makes the system look worse than it really is. The system feels very sturdy. It oozes power.

I'm probably one of the biggest 3DS advocates you're going to find. I love that console. In just a couple of short hours, the PSV made that console seem under-powered. Welcome Park showed off a lot of the finer features of the Vita and I like it a lot. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see what the system can REALLY do. It's downloading all of my PSP games from the PS3 to the PSV, right now. After I finish doing that, I'm just going to shut it down for the day. Haven't even given Uncharted a try, yet.

I've owned around 6 Nintendo DS's (one I bought for my kid) since it launched. When I got a PSP, it just seemed like a better fit for me. I really enjoyed both systems, but the PSP was just more of what I wanted a portable system to be. I already own a 3DS and my kid owns one, too. We love it. Hundreds upon hundreds of hours have been spent with it over the past year (didn't get mine until late June, though). I've only spent a couple of hours with the Vita and I can already see that the hardware is on another level. Now, if only there was a fucking game worth playing on it.

I do not regret the purchase one bit. It's an awesome piece of hardware, so far.
