I think you are mixing up Miyamoto with Hiroshi Yamauchi, the former president of Nintendo. Miyamoto does like video games.

Does he?  I read an interview in Buisness Week a couple years back, for Wii Music, where he stated that he pretty much never played videogames preffering his many other hobbies and that they were the inspirations for his games.

Only playing games that are currently being developed, more for a quality assurance, guidence type of thing.
