I wouldn't expect him to understand the need to keep consoles as an entity distinct from the PC. I don't really understand what he means by "there's no world of warcraft on consoles." Whether you approach WoW from a "social phenomenon" perspective (e.g., something that's really popular), or from a "social environment" perspective, consoles can do both, but at the same time can provide more. While consoles can't provide the whole PC experience, they can do different things, and yet provide things that are similar enough to the PC experience
And he would be old enough to remember the Atari 2600, and a world of console gaming without licensing. Hmm...
