I'm referring to men, but yeah I know there are girls shorter than me. I've dated some.

May I ask what race you are?

A lot of people have mentioned in this thread that the VGC average will be high because of lying or non-participating, but I found it odd that there were quite a few men below 5'9"... I am just short of 6ft but don't think of myself as tall as it's rare I meet someone of the same age and sex as me who is more than an inch or two lower than me, but I know a few who are taller than me (my sister's boyfriend for example is 6'7", and in the UK standard doorframes are 6'6")
