If only it were that black and white eh. It really is ridiculous to claim all studios from a certain country are crap (especially one the size of the UK). You have some weird views Slime.

lol I know

Don't you think I have wandered myself why British game development is struggling and why no British games tend to amuse me anymore? I too think it's a bit weird for such a big country with a long history of honorable game development but I see what I see. The trend is there.

Some countries' game development has clearly increased in quality, such as Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, while some other countries decline. You sure know the debate on the Japanese game industry's decline in quality? Even some prominent Japanese developers themselves have stated that all new Japanese games suck. So I dont think it's controversial to say that British game development has become poor.

Seece, I dont want to feel this way. It's not in spite. I truly love Britain. I always choose the Brits in a game if I can.

 Batman: Arkham Asylum / City
 LittleBigPlanet
Wipeout
Grand Theft Auto
Dirt
Enslaved
Burnout
Football Manager
HItman, Tomb Raider, Theif, Deus Ex, Just Cause

To be honest I made this list more out my own curiousity then as a reply but yeah, we still make some great stuff imo. It's a shadow of it's former self though, but I doubt politians will ever realise this until it's too late. We can remain hopeful.

I think Brits can add a slant on games that no one else can capture but it wouldn't be a huge loss to the industry if the British games industry continued to decline :(. Still I really couldn't see something like LittleBigPlanet coming out of any other culture.

I didnt know Batman was made by a British studio.

But Thief is American, Hitman is Danish, Deus Ex is Canadian and Just Cause is made by Swedes. I don't know why you added these games to your list.

Think where I was reading just got confused with EIDOS as publisher, I knew a few weren't UK but didn't really think about it lol. Assumed like the early games in the franchise were made in the UK or something lol.
