The Scandinavians can give all these services as they tax their citizens to death.

My whole point is, Greeks are far from stupid people like mentioned in post.  They played major (read:only) role in european development of science, astronomy, mathematics, language and philosophy.

Stupid is as stupid does. For the last decades the greeks have voted for two parties who had the same policy: bribing for votes by unchecked corruption, incompetence and nepotisme.
