Infrared light isn't visible to the naked eye. A christian woman and a christian pastor wouldn't be smart enough to know that the Wii uses infrared light at all, so there's no reason for either one to make the claim that she could see infrared light.

The sad part, though, is that I could definitely see a christian church banning the Wii for various reasons similar to this.
