I agree with Jaffe

i thought that jaffe was exaggerating at 1st but as i read i started to understand why he responded to the G4TV review

First off, 3 was my optimistic score. If you're happy playing a game that's nearly 20 years old, more power to you. Most gamers, I believe, expect there to be some kind of evolution in gameplay and Twisted Metal doesn't have any. Seriously, if you just want the same damn thing you got when you were nine, that's fine. More power to you, as the developer has given you exactly that.

^^^ this part was kinda harsh and i dont understand what he means by evolution here

like what the fuck can they possibly do that would be so new and evolution like that he would be satisfied with in a car combat game?

stuff like Mario kart has been around for a long time but to me it's been  the same for the most part. I dont remember anything "evolutionary" in any of the Mario Karts

hell, i cant even think of too many old game franchises that felt evolutionary gameplay wise this gen. I can only think of Mario Galaxy at the moment

why try to fix something that isn't broken? and its not like we see twisted metal every 1-2 years

he implied that Twisted Metal has NOTHING new so i guess the new NUKE mode, sniping and helicopter segments in Twisted Metal is the same as it was nearly 20 years ago right? LMAO

but whatever though..

The problem is you.  Mario kart always has been an excellent franchise while Twisted metal always has been a broken franchise that got average reviewscores:

i would say that Mario Kart is an excellent franchise because I PLAY THEM and know from experience, not because of what ANY reviewer says about them

the same goes for Twisted Metal

now tell me what all the other reviewers have to do with this specific reviewers words about twisted? did Jaffe respond to their reviews like he did to this 1 or something?

and im guessing you are either saying that the problem is "me" because i dont see why he implied that Twisted Metal has nothing new gameplay wise(when it does!) or is it the fact that i said that i feel that Mario Kart has not really seen any evolution gameplay wise this gen and last gen that he claims should be seen(which it hasn't!)

the only thing that was new that i can remember was using 2 characters(Double Dash) and driving underwater and in the air(Mario Kart 3DS) but the gameplay has been the same really except for the wii version taking away the manual speed boost thingy

but what do you mean by the problem is "me"? could you elaborate please
