not just me failing, everyone. The scum were sure they had lost. In a game of 9vs 3 there wouldn't be 2 cops leading to one being lynched. Back to the swinyness of my role though. Had the town no lynched a sibling or the princess, they very well could have been killed by me. If not night 2 then on night 4 or night 6. The other thing about the role I think of as swingy is the lack of anyone knowing about it but the mod. You might have know that there would be more townies killed, but no one else did. Heck with how my role was supposed to work had the mafia lost they would have had every right to be pissed at you for holding the kills. |
But the game was not 9v3, it was 11v3.
At the very worst, your ability over the course of 6 days would result in the deaths of only 4 townies. So, let's just immediately remove those from the game. 11,10, 9, 8, 7, no vote for you makes 6.
So you guys had two days, nay, given the second night the princess provided, you had three nights to figure out who was mafia. And even then, remember that mafia lost the second kill for the princess due to targeting you. And had you incorrectly lynched, the game would STILL not be over since vig was a third party, allowing him to shoot and even the game AGAIN.
So, in essence we have a 7v3 starting at night giving the cop an investigation right away, and the announcer an announcement, and two doc protections equating to roughly 10-20% chance to successfully block a kill, and going into day one with two investigations and two doc attempts. Town could then lynch someone -> 5v3 go into night, then back to morning ->4v3, mislynch again, 3v3, lose someone at night, then in the morning, shoot trucks, gain a vote back 3v2 and only THEN need to lynch a mafia. Even with all the factors going extremely bad for town, they would NEED to lynch someone by day 2, and at the very least still have a chance by day 3.
Sorry, not swingy.
The game is and was about lynches. Town failed nearly every single lynch, and even went out on a limb for radish when Trucks had a frackin guilty investigation.
