Supposedly the aborted Superman game killed Factor 5, because wouldn't Sony have eaten the losses from Lair? Isn't that what publishers are supposed to do?

I agree that the main problem is that there is really nothing that compares to Rogue Leader. It sat in a sweet spot all its own between the ilk of Star Fox and other arcadey flight games and games that would qualify more as "flight sims," an itch that no other existing game can scratch.

Well Factor 5 closed down less than 2 years after the release of Lair. So clearly the game didn't make enough money to keep them going. I suspect what happened is they were counting on the profit made from Lair to help carry them through the development of their next title. When the game was delayed and had bad controls shoe horned in and so got critically panned it ruined the chances of it keeping them in business.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.
