But that happend in the US only not in Japan or europe. and in Europe the SEGA Master System had good sales

Yea the video game market mainly crashed in USA.  Sega Master System didn't release till 85 (Japan (Mark III)) /86 (US) /87 (Europe).  The video game crash happened in 83 so Sega didn't even have to survive because they weren't even in the home console business when the crash happened.  The crash screwed Atari since they were the main player at the time.  No one really jumped in to fill the void completely till Nintendo with the NES.
