I don't really miss them. The last time I played Rebel Strike I noticed just how flawed it is (about a year ago). Not just the foot missions and the speederbike sequences, but the ridiculous length of the cutscenes compared to the time you actually play. And if you start a new file you have to watch that stupid stuff.

What would Factor 5 be capable of anyway? As soon as they try to go beyond flight missions, they fail horribly. As soon as they take the freedom to think up their own missions instead of basing them directly on the Star Wars movies, the quality drops notably (hence why Rogue Leader's flight missions far outdo Rebel Strike's). Lair sorta was Rogue Squadron 4, but without a movie license all the flaws shined through.

If we got a competent Star Fox last gen instead of the repeatedly delayed Namco mess, then neither Rogue Leader or Rebel Strike would have really stood out, just like the first Rogue Squadron didn't stand a chance against Star Fox 64.

So I guess what I am trying to say is that I would take a new Star Fox over a new Rogue Squadron any day of the week.

I feel like I should clarify that a Starfox that took traditional corridor levels and then replaced the "all range" levels with larger, Rogue Leader-style semi-free roam missions? That would be amazing. I'd lose my mind over it.
