'There simply aren't enough new IPs these days'

I have to agree with this!

I'm currently more interested in contiuing playing several franchises/IP's than seeing new ones created.

Which ones?  Most of the new IPs this generation are already on 2, 3, or 4 in the game series.  I don't have too much room to talk since Mario went from 1-3 on the NES but you can't be dying for too many new IPs that haven't had a sequel.  Basically, if the new IP didn't bomb then they made a sequel asap this generation.

I'm looking forward to:

Announced:

• Mass Effect 3
• Halo 4 (5 & 6 later on)
• Assassin's Creed 3 (Not really announced, but we all know it's coming)
• Beyond Good & Evil 2 (Very silent, but technically speaking it's been announced)
• GTA 5

Unannounced:

• Star Wars: Battlefront 3
• Mirror's Edge 2
• Legend of Zelda (WiiU)
• Crysis 3
• Lost Oddesey 2
• Jade's Empire 2
• Star Wars: Knight of The Old Republic 3 (A RPG, not a MMORPG)
• GRID 2
• Banjo *whatever name*

Basically what I mean is, I personally don't need many new IP's at the moment, I really can happily settle for new installments (If they're quality) in exsisting franchises.
