I think the iPhone is the new NES, the way so many new gamers are buying games in such a quantity, and how easy it is to develop games for the device, its quite something :D

Are you sure they are actually buying these games and not just downloading them for free?  Sure the company still makes money through in game ad but I wouldn't really say downloading something for free is a purchase.  I have probably downloaded 10-15 games on my Android phone spending a total of $0.  I suppose there are suckers though that love giving money to the free to play games to get items, speed things up, etc..  Basically, I see the entire free to play game market in an overall negative tone.  While they might be fun to play they are purposely set up to annoy the shit out of you by either having you wait or forking over the money to advance in the game.
